From Central Australia to Mulgoa: Gordon Briscoe

Standing outside the gate of the Church of St Thomas and the dormitory of Mulgoa Children’s home where he was sent to live, Uncle Gordon Briscoe tells how he was removed at the age of 4 from Alice Springs and taken part way in a cattle truck along with other children in an “evacuation of the half-castes from the half-caste institutions in and around the Northern Territory” during the Second World War.
