Hostels, to me, is a sense of family history: Anne Martin

Anne Martin, managing director of Aboriginal Hostels Ltd. tells how they grew out of a trip made by Senator Neville Bonner and Charles Perkins to Brisbane in 1973 where they saw the need for accommodation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, particularly those coming to the cities for work or study. Now, these hostels are largely run by Aboriginal people and are an essential support for those so far from home.
